Hi there,

I have a big request and I am willing to pay for this since I lack the knowledge (and the time needed to gain it) to achieve this by myself. My request:

I want this DVB-T-Stick to work on my Pandora (Super Saxxon Beta 5, 3.2 Kernel):

http://www.pctvsyste...DE/Default.aspx

A Linux driver is available here (seems to work for some people at least):

http://linuxtv.org/w...V_picoStick_74e

A year ago I had my own attempts to achieve this, but I had to learn that I'm not as young as I used to be back then when I had the time and the motivation to learn programming in windows. You can read about it here although its not really worth the time I think:http://boards.openpa...__fromsearch__1

I just want the files/instructions to watch TV on my Pandora using this neat little DVB-T-Device. It must be easy for me and I am absolutely willing to pay 50€ for this convenience (Paypal-Account required). I think that this should be a simple task for anyone involved in developing software on/for the Pandora so this should be a reasonable bounty. Maybe some more people jump in and rise the reward as this stick is imho perfect for keeping the Pandora as mobile as possible.

I'd love to receive files and instructions by some helpful and motivated user as soon as possible as the european soccer championship has already started and I am on the go quite often.

Thx in advance and the best of luck!

Hmmm, is it me, underestimating the problem or is it you being to busy or is it the issue being of too less excitement?

First post went under my radar :/

I'll check it for sure, dunno if I will be able to make it work.

Hi again,

I checked the given links and here's my conclusions. The driver you mention has been merged in staging in the kernel, the module dvb-as102 is present in SZB5 (I just modprobe'd it on my Pandora).

Please do the following:

* open a shell and go to root ( "sudo -s" )

* type "modprobe dvb-as102"

* plug your device

* wait a moment moment, then type "dmesg"

If you got errors about missing firmware, follow the firmware instructions here: http://linuxtv.org/wiki/index.php/PCTV_picoStick_74e and uplug / replug your device

* Type "dmesg" and post the result here.

Hi Clop and thx for your help. Following your instructions I get the following:

[ 154.813873] dvb_as102: module is from the staging directory, the quality is unknown, you have been warned.

[ 154.823486] usbcore: registered new interface driver Abilis Systems as10x usb driver

h-openpandora:~#

This sound quite promising, but when I open ME-TV I get the error message "There are no DVB devices available".

What am I missing?

Me tv doesn't work (at least not the pnd version).

You have to create a channels.conf with dvbtools and use vlc to view it.

More instructions can be fount in my old thread about dvb-t on pandora.

I get errors using scan, I don't even have a "dvb"-entry under /dev. Do I have to register it as device and if so, how can I do that?

Is there any other device in /dev that looks like your dvbt stick? Could be something like v4l device or such.

What is the scan command you used exactly? Which error gives it?

Of course ;) I should stop assuming that everybody knows that he has to activate usbhost, if he wants to use usbhost...

What is the scan command you used exactly? Which error gives it?

I used "scan -o zap /usr/share/dvb/dvb-t/de-Hamburg >~/channels.conf"

Is it normal that this takes long time without any noticable progress? He initialized the transponders and did a tune to [...] and now there seems no further progress for a longer period of time.

It takes a lot of time. Give it half an hour at least.

Okay, since the scan seems to hang on the first frequency already I did a dmesg and got the following:

Any ideas?

Wooh, things has moved fast.

For your kernel oops, there seems to be a patch: http://patchwork.lin...org/patch/9878/

I checked kernel sources and it's not in there. I'm off to work now (already late :/), but i'll try to send you a new module tonight.
