Question About Gmenu2x

I've just installed GMenu2X on my new F-200 and I was wondering if it somehow affects performances. I think it still runs in the background while we play, and since for some emulators, at the moment, we need every tiny bit of power the machine has, maybe it is better to disable it.

Or is its power consumption so little it isn't noticed even in tough situation? Has anyone tested it?

Thanks!

I use gmenu2X on all my SD cards and have not noticed any slowdowns or discrepancies. I am unsure if it stays resident, but that should be easy to test. Since every start command has an exec reference to /usr/gp2x/gp2xmenu which in turn checks /autorun.gpu and then starts gmenu2x again, I would hope that it terminates. Otherwise it'll be out of resources quickly.

That's nice. I suppose I could take a look at the code to be sure...

Edit: I checked the code.. default behaviour is to exit when launching the application, however this can be changed on a link per link basis. So.. good job to the coder!
