Seriously, I will "donate" to someone (through Paypal or something) if they'll take the time to either port that or create a similar cell phone game emulator. That would be siiiick.

can someone plz help me i new to quake 1 and 2 i downloaded the files and cant get them to work on my wiz they dnt even load plz help because quake 1 and 2 looks like a mega wicked game i dont want to be missing out

You need the PC version from both games. The demo versions should also work.
For Quake put the files "pak0.pak" and "pak1.pak" in the "id1" folder.
For Quake II put the file "pak0.pak" in the "baseq2" folder.

hey man because u know what ur talking about could u help me with gpsp ive put the config.txt and the gpsp.gpe on my sd card and the wiz says loading but insted of running the gpsp it goes back to the wiz menu...iknow this isnt the right topic but no one has replied in the gpsp topic you'd be helping alot thanks

You can buy them from Steam or id:

http://store.steampowered.com/search/?term=quake

http://www.idsoftware.com/store/index.php?view=quake

Or try the demo versions:

http://www.idsoftware.com/games/quake/quake/index.php?game_section=demo

http://www.idsoftware.com/games/quake/quake2/index.php?game_section=demo

Install the games on your PC and than copy the .pak files.

You need a bios file "gba_bios.bin" and copy it to the gsps folder.

The most up to date version of Quake II has 3 .pak files, just for clarification.

1. Be sure you have the lastest version of ioquake2 for the wiz from the archives ( http://dl.openhandhe...i?0,0,0,0,30,11 )
2. Install Quake II on your PC (or in a PC virtual machine if you are on a Mac)
3. Get the latest Quake II point release (still on your PC or vm) and install it ( http://www.fileplane...-2-Patch-v3.20- )
4. Now you're ready to put the files on your Wiz:
..a: on your Wiz SD card, create a folder in "game" called "quake2"
..b: expand the ioquake2.zip file you downloaded from openhandhelds and put the contents into the new Quake2 folder on the Wiz SD card
..c: copy the following items from your PC installation of Quake2 to the /game/quake2/baseq2 folder on your Wiz SD card:
......pak0.pak, pak1.pak, pak2.pak, and (optionally) all of the .cin files in the /video folder.

When you are done, your directory structure should look like this:

/game/quake2/
--autoexec.cfg
--cpufreq
--mmuhack.ko
--q2.gpe
--readme.txt
--ref_softsdl.so
--sdlquake2
--baseq2/
----gamearm.so
----pak0.pak
----pak1.pak
----pak2.pak
----video/
------end.cin
------ntro.cin
------eou1_.cin
------eou2_.cin
------eou3_.cin
------eou4_.cin
------eou5_.cin
------eou6_.cin
------eou7_.cin
------eou8_.cin
------idlog.cin
--xatrix/
----gamearm.so
--rogue/
----gamearm.so

To launch the game on the Wiz use the launcher to start the file q2.gpe

That's it. If you follow these directions, the game SHOULD show you the id logo on startup, and begin playing the game demos.
