Just learn Russian, it's quasi Klingon but has some real-life use.Funny you should ask. I have been considering learning Klingon recently. There are other constructed languages I was thinking about, but they didn't seem as useful.

imo, you can't say you hate politicians unless you're actively engaged in voting for the people you like...
The first problem with that is the people that would be voted for with that line of thinking would not be interested in the whole politics game and would likely get only a single vote.imo, you can't say you hate politicians unless you're actively engaged in voting for the people you like...
So if you manage to get them campaign funds and coverage and do everything for them to get them elected, and they aren't willing, what happens? This must have happened somewhere, even if it is only a low level local office (which may mean a totally different situation than someone elected against their will to a federal office), right?Show me a sane, rational, highly qualified both domestically (held prior office) and internationally (ambassador, work abroad, etc) who is willing. Then, since they're non-controversial, figure out how to get them any press coverage that doesn't sound like tepid tap water.
Quiet, you! Can't you see we aren't talking politics.

So - I had this odd idea for a somewhat dystopian SciFi novel along the lines of Foundation meets Idiocracy. So if you manage to get them campaign funds and coverage and do everything for them to get them elected, and they aren't willing, what happens? We should all learn Ithkuil and then make it this forum's lingua franca. Wonder where to get the font, though.Have you considered... toki pona?
Oh dear. Ithkuil. Not even John Quijada is fluent. We should all learn Ithkuil and then make it this forum's lingua franca. Wonder where to get the font, though.
Lojban seems nice, too. So we all learn Lojban, and then try to teach each other Ithkuil in Lojban?Oh dear. Ithkuil. Not even John Quijada is fluent.
There is an easier alternative: Lojban. It doesn't try to resolve semantic ambiguity, just grammatical and thus is a lot more practical.

Fine by meLojban seems nice, too. So we all learn Lojban, and then try to teach each other Ithkuil in Lojban?
Ok, let's take a step back. We were discussing Klingon first, so that should be the common language here.
