Please, in signatures, nothing politically tied. I care not what you believe in politically, but this board is not a place for politics unless it's in the Off-Topic Forum. I hate seeing crap like that in signatures on message boards. And the GP32x forums are not a place for politics anywhere other than the Off-Topic Forums.

Thank you for your corporation.

It's not about maturity, it's just uncalled for in these forums. And I can think of 2 off the top of my head now. I just don't think this is the right place for such things unless they are in the Off-Topic Forum.

true : a forum about a handheld console doesnt have to do anything with politics
I hope everything will be clarified ASAP
I just don't think this is the right place for such things unless they are in the Off-Topic Forum.
In my mind : true but I think even off topic shouldnt deal with that...

see you

EDIT :
I don't know what you're talking about...
No kidding? :p

Look, as far as I care, Off-Topic is no-holds-barred-anything goes. But in other areas such as General Talk, nobody should be subjected to your political POV just because they're reading a post you made in a topic that interests them.

Is that simple enough to understand?

I think it's funny myself, People have different views, get over it. (GPjosh's sig is from the idiot son of an A-hole video offa ericblumrich's site by the way :D Not offensive as it is funny)Covering em all up doesn't make them go away, if we all hid our tastes, views, and styles, everyone would wear a grey uniform, live in a square grey house, and drive the same brand of car, And vote for the same people.... And that just isn't right.

As long as it hasn't started any arguements or flamewars yet, why complain?

Edit: Lmfao at taras :D

And I also don't agree with starwarsnerd's signature, either.
he hasnt got one
Oh yeah, that's right, he took it off. Maybe it wasn't him, but I remember one where it said something along the lines of 'My gun's killed less people than Ted Kenedy's car'. Yeah, I didn't like seeing that crap in signatures either.

And yes, it will start a flame war. I'll tell you, it pisses me off. I know a couple of other people it could piss off as well. Please, I don't want trouble because I disagree with having politically-tied themes/images in signatures.

What's your problem? The internet was a place where freedom of speech was held high. Sad enough, some
lawyers try to make a fortune out of that, please don't start to censore ourselves because of signatures that
are immature/seem immature to you/you don't like. Show some maturity by ignoring opinions you don't like
instead of trying to wipe them away.

Freedom of speech is related also to the freedom to read. "Your freedom ends where my freedom starts" my dad used to say.
A flashing "BIGGEST CASINO ON THE WEB" pop-up, for instance, might be freedom of speech for some but the fact that it pops up in front of my face without me asking for it is coercion.
I'm actually not against someone having a political note or message written on the signature. However, a distracting and gigantic animated GIF is just lame.
It does not matter if the message is political or not - the way the signature is being put there is what bothers me. You look at it once and it's funny. After that, it becomes a pain in the ass.
So you want to have a signature that expresses your beliefs, your tastes, yourself or expresses nothing? Cool. Just don't make it so distracting that it makes reading the forums a pain. Use your common sense.

You know what, you people want to SPAM with your political POVs, do it elsewhere. GP32x is not somewhere where I find it acceptable in signatures.
I think you are overreacting. If you want to ban all signatures with non-GP32 content, there would be almost
no signature left.
Anime related? Oh well, no GP32 stuff. BAN!
Joke signature? No GP32 stuff. BAN!
Some dark satanic words with "blood" in it? NOT GP32 RELATED! BAN!

Other than that, I must agree phoda on that big-animated-gif issue.

Fine, how about this, no ANNOYING poliical stuff in your sigs.

Happy?

I still don't like political crap in the sigs on GP32x boards. But you want your 'Freedom of Speech', fine, just nothing annoying then.

To be honest, who cares what you do or don't like, this isn't your website, so it's not up to you

Plus: you would have to define political. Nobody mentioned bringoutthegimp's signature: "I'll kill a communist for fun............but for a green card i'll slice him up real good" but there are over one billion people on this planet that might think that message is very offensive.
Or are we only talking about banning anti-USA messages?

I think everyone who supports free speach should put a political message in thier signature
