Looks like once again, most backers are from Japan. The GPD WIN, then the GPD Pocket now the Gemini.
As I said a little while ago, ED better get some marketing plan in place to advertise to the Japanese
hint hint

Oh really? Then maybe you can tell an obtuse guy like me how to access a remote server without any network connection.
Let me guess:
All you do is to commute from one warm room to another with constant access to electricity and internet. You've never been farther away from a landline or cellular net more than a few kilometers and "nature" is something you associate with (national) parks, commercial timberland and tourism.
If that's about right, I'm looking forward to your suggestions!
Do they need to?The other thing though, how are they going to put any significant cooling solution in there?
As I suspected, you really ARE just a tourist. You've never left "civilization".Or try the wilds of Alaska, Africa, all over Canada and the Arctic... but funny thing in those places I wasn't too concerned about using my electronics....
Any place you would need to use it you would also have a network soooo.......
That shall only be regarded as admissable if you used Windows CE from within an ARM Linux!1!!Talk to me again when you've run a debug session at a meteorologic station at the antarctic cost with a shaky and expensive satellite link!

I strongly believe that by working model , they mean a working case and hinge etc. ie the term term working model as opposed to working prototype
Not so. This is a growing niche (which will get saturated sooner than we think), which means the more alternatives, the larger the consumer pool gets. The more alternatives the more the Pyra needs to be showing off what they CAN do additionally.. and hopefully, it will be enough to convince consumers at that pricepoint. It seems that the Pandora may have been too early and that the Pyra may be just late enough be lost in the crowd rather than "ahead of the curve".
