That is actually very simple to solve if you have any confidence in evolution:
Before the chicken there was another similar animal (that was not a chicken) which laid an egg. A genetic mutation to this egg created the very first chicken. And from that point on chickens existed and laid chicken eggs.
Therefore the egg came first. Before that you can probably follow a chain backwards to when the chicken ancestor was a single cell reproducing asexually.
