Right so before I start I would just like to say that I have very little experience in programing and porting, however I hope I can make myself understood.

So I recently stumbled upon this open-source animation software/drawing software called "Pencil" http://www.pencil-animation.org/ and I would really like to see this app on the Pandora.
Seeing as it has tablet support I belive it might be possible to use the touchscreen to draw. (would it be possible?)

In other posts I've read, with people asking for software to be ported its usually only the source code thats needed, which we have a link for right here http://www.pencil-animation.org/index.php?id=Download

I also just now noticed that this infact works both for Ubuntu linux and Arch Linux so one of them might run right away?
(if I understand how this works correct, I dont think it will run.. or will it?)

So anyway I am basically asking if there is someone out there interested in "porting" this application/making it run.

 ---Hmm.. damn I suck at explaining stuff.

I really hope you understood that well enough, because.. well, sometimes even I have trouble understanding stuff I write. :p

EDIT:: This might be better suited in the software section, so if someone could move it would be much appreciated.

The Sourceforge.net logo on the home page should tell you that source code is available. It may be a simple recompile away from working on ARM Linux. See http://pencil-animation.org/wiki/doku.php?id=developers:index to get infomation on how to build it.

-edit-
I don't have an ARM-based system such as a Beagleboard or Pandora to test it on, nor the CodeSourcery build tools to get it to work myself, but don't let that stop you from trying it if you do have a way to test it.

I dont have any means to test it either however I will try to recompile it myself for "fun".

Do you know any decent ARM compilers I can use? (just asking for better ones, since I will google for one myself.)

Maybe if I can successfully recompile it for ARM, maybe someone here can try it out? if they have time.

Looks like fun, I'd be keen to help. I have the Pandora build environment mostly working so I could have a go at compiling it.

That would be awesome, I tried my best but since my knowledge in this stuff is very limited I couldnt even find a decent compiler that windows 7 would run, or it might be my fault.
Anyway any help is very appreciated.

Looks like it uses QT, does anyone know if QT will be available Angstrom for Pandora? Presumably yes?
