Release Pandora-Vectrex : Vectrex Emulator For Pandora V1.1.0

WOW, I just tried this emu last night, and it is AWESOME. Now if only I could get most of my collection in bin form, I could sell it off and me and my Pandora could ride off into the sunset together.

So can I only play games with the screen turned sideways, or can that be changed? I only tried it out for a few minutes, and didn't play with any settings.

ZX, you ROCK! You are the classic console man!

you may change the render mode (rot90 or normal) in the settings menu.
Thanks zx, my Pandora returned to me after 2 months yesterday, and my left shoulder button is broke, so I was kinda of in a pissed off mood last night, and didn't take the proper time to check. I did want to give this one a go, as Vectrex is one of my child hood favorites, and it looks so nice on the Pandora.

Thank You so much for your work on all the classics. I've got you and Notaz on my to give list, so expect a donation soon.

I did these ones : agt - bedlam - berzerk - minestorm

For all of them, the opacy is 80%, but on bedlam, I did 60%.

Tell me what you think, but I think 80% is not bad.

The _norm version needs to be centered, but this is just a first try...

Be sure the names are the same with your roms ;)

Also, I noticed when you play two games one after the other, the overlay of the first game is always on the screen. Weird ^^

How did you do the opacity on these?

I tried to download but that is a shit site with all of the adware and crap installers etc, had a hard time finding the real one.

I used Photoshop on these ones.

I tried the Caanoo overlays, but the size is not good. I tried to resize but the results were really bad. Thanx anyway.

I posted a pack here : http://dl.openhandhelds.org/cgi-bin/pandora.cgi?0,0,0,0,5,355

Tell me what you think.

I didn't use opacity on these ones, in fact I increased light and contrast to make them more "brightful".

And a big thanks to qbertaddict ;)

Are light pin programs supported thru the Pandora's touch screen? If not, could it be added? Just a thought!

Also for those who need some nice games to play, here is a great Vectrex site that offers legal games to try.

I did these overlays for the default Armor attack game. I did these mostly as a test. I did them with variable opacity, the borders are 100% opaque (I think the emu still makes them a bit transparent still) the play area much less opaque.

I was trying to get the effect like a real overlay to brighten the vectors but not the background. It doesn't seem to work how I would think, the more transparent the brighter the vectors but it seems opposite of how real ones would work. The more opaque the brighter? It is strange.

I notice that the emu crops off the image on the sides (ZX, maybe you could have it so it displays the whole 800 x 480 image? It could look cool for bezels and such) but it still doesn't look too bad. I may do some more of these.
