Is the internal memory read-only? I can't copy files to my internal memory. How do I fix this?

No. Everything outside your home directory is owned by root, so you'll need to use sudo to copy files into those directories. If you can't write to your home directory - if it's actually giving you an error that the the filesystem is read-only - then I'm afraid you've got BIG problems ...

Okay. I can't copy to it from Thunar, but I'm not getting any errors. I was just checking it, because several of my SD cards became corrupted and I'm starting to become paranoid. I might post about my experience later.

So to transfer I would type:

cp -r (folder a) (folder B)

to get folder a in folder b?

EDIT: I meant folder b in parenthesis but it was auto formatted to a smiley.

there isn't a great deal of space in the internal memory anyway.. you wont be able to store lots of things on it.

but yes a command like that would work

you can also use the character ~   as a shortcut for your home directory

cp -r folder ~      would copy everything in that folder to your home directory.
