Weell - errr... so where's the difference between an asm core and an asm core?Wolfsclaw posted on Aug 10 2004 at 11:52 AM said:it won't be as fast as fgen32 or gigadrive - fgen and gigadrive has cyclone 68k implemented, but snes has no use of it so imo it'll definitrely be slower than megadrive.
yoyos got his own language?gbfan_gbfan_gbfan posted on Aug 10 2004 at 01:57 AM said:dont try to translate the french text with a program because yoyo speak a special french that any program can translate really.
Yeah, but AFAIK he didn't code the coreLHC posted on Aug 10 2004 at 06:29 PM said:Well I suppose a badly coded ASM core won't be as fast as a superbly coded ASM core.
However, as we've not seen were in no position to judge. Other than the fact that we know yoyofr to be a fantastic coder, so we can trust his work to be superb.
I'm getting a _counter vibe from him...wolly_wotsit posted on Aug 10 2004 at 09:55 AM said:yoyos got his own language?gbfan_gbfan_gbfan posted on Aug 10 2004 at 01:57 AM said:dont try to translate the french text with a program because yoyo speak a special french that any program can translate really.
Should be possible with one of the dat-files for the audition tools. They're usually plain ASCII. Maybe one has the filesize in it.Dozer posted on Aug 11 2004 at 01:10 AM said:I remember there was a list for gba 4 meg gba roms. His post sounds BS to me. I'm not even taking it with a grain of salt.Azure posted on Aug 10 2004 at 08:00 PM said:I'm getting a _counter vibe from him...wolly_wotsit posted on Aug 10 2004 at 09:55 AM said:yoyos got his own language?gbfan_gbfan_gbfan posted on Aug 10 2004 at 01:57 AM said:dont try to translate the french text with a program because yoyo speak a special french that any program can translate really.
Anyways...hopefully it's all true. As it's been almost 8 months since a new version of OS9XGP has been released. As for dynamic loading, hopefully it won't be as bad as it is for GPAdvance on some games (Let the demo play for Castlevania Circle of the Moon).
If you have all your SNES ROMs in the same directory on your PC, you can just list the directory by size -- that way all the biggest ones will be at the top and you'll get a rough idea of which ones will be too big (not exact because they're probably zipped).Dozer posted on Aug 10 2004 at 11:10 PM said:I remember there was a list for gba 4 meg gba roms. No I think the post was about French toasters. I am not sure what toasters have to do with emulators so I guess we will just have to wait and seefinty101 posted on Aug 11 2004 at 09:46 AM said:Now that confused me. Did he say yoyo had a nice ass?
