Hello,

I finally got around to ordering a GP2X from Lik-Sang, I also purchased the power adapter and TV out cable.
I plan on using it mainly for Music, Videos and Games.

Im only interested in playing NES, Genesis and Intellivision roms. Can you please tell me what are the best emulators available for the consoles I mentioned that are already being used with the GP2X??

I also ordered an A-Data 4gb SD card from newegg, here: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?...N82E16820211319

On the GP2X Wiki, it lists this card as confirmed as working with the gp2x , im assuming this means I can also upgrade the firmware with it, has anyone here achieved this with this card??

anyways thanks, id appreciate your feedback and tips. :)

Congratulations on your new purchase! I'm sure you'll be very happy with it.

There is a very good NES emulator, fishyNES, available in the archive. The (very) old Nk emulator runs slightly better, but has been abandoned and doesn't seem to work with newer firmwares (like the one that's probably on your GP2X).

The Genesis emulator, DrMDx, is arguably the best Genesis emulator available on any handheld. It runs all games at very near fullspeed without overclocking. Also available in the archive.

The Intellivision emu, I can't tell you much about, as I personally don't use it. If you search this forum I'm sure results will come up quickly.

I very much doubt your 4gig card will be able to auto update the firmware. Search the forums for a firmware SD card compatibility list.

Mess has intellivision support.
