Hi all,

After a minor (one line) modification to Alister's OpenJazz source code, I have the latest version running (mostly) properly on the Wiz. I have also updated the archive with the version of SDL I am using, which should eliminate tearing on screen.

The upload is still being 'processed' by the file archive, but once it's ready, it should be available here (if everything goes smoothly):

http://dl.openhandhelds.org/cgi-bin/wiz.cgi?0,0,0,0,35,128 (See bottom of post)

Please note, I am not a programmer, so I don't know how to fix the garbled-looking opening cutscene or Jazz's stuttering steps as he runs uphill. I just got lucky figuring out the line to change to make the colors correct. I found the game to still be quite enjoyable, though, so I figured I should release it.

Improvements over the old release include the plasma-y effect on the menu screen, enemies properly exploding, and more!

EDIT: It never showed up on the archive, and I'm not sure why. Grab it here: http://ifile.it/4r0xbtw/openjazz-wiz.zip

The intro video garbled is a common problem, happens on the pandora too. I think i have put in a bug report for it.
The movement issue is also common, not sure what alister knows about it.

Make sure you get the change back to Alister so it gets added into the repo.

Also good to see someone else picking up these releases, its not hard work but does take time so thanks.

Looks like my post made it up before the file did.

Here's a copy I uploaded to a file host if any of you want to try it out before it hits the archive:

Yup, I already e-mailed Alister with the file name, line number, and description of the change. Hopefully he'll get it in alright there. :)
