Nexus 7 now gets Ubuntu

^

Have you been pretty happy with that Nexus 7? I think they are releasing a LTE and higher memory capacity soon. Not sure about when I want to take the tablet plunge, but I want to be able to do stuff like Ubuntu etc and not be stuck in Google's OS 100% of the time

Well, I haven't switched it on for the last 4 weeks since I don't really know what to do with a tablet. Internet is still nicer for me with the Pandora... only thing I'm doing with the tablet is playing Pinball Arcade... ;)

I read that too Link.

Argos will be selling this in the UK.

The 8GB Nexus will stop selling and they doing the 32GB version at the same price as the 16GB is currently, £199.

Released before end of the year too.

I might see if Santa can sort that out for me

This would only be interesting if the put in an SD card slot, and fixed the USB micro B slot by changing it to a micro AB slot so it follows standards.

I tested it today and it is very slow compared to a Pandora.

It is not interesting for me atm.

Also the Keyboard is ton small and it is hart to use on such a small screen without a Stylus.

Tomorrow I will flash the Android back on the Tablet.

But if it runs faster and they release a version for a Galaxy Note 10.1 it would be a nice Tablet OS.

(I chose the Note 10.1 as a good tablet because it has a Multitouch screen and a Stylus, but don't have one so far )

You may want to use the LXDE desktop instead of Unity - its quicker. Check the video below:
