New owner with a bunch of problems :(

What about using an ext2 filesystem? Is it a good idea or not? Journalling fs are a bad idea I guess, since the journal adds wear to the SD card. But ext2 should be ok, right? Or do the SD card controllers somehow assume/optimize for FAT?

I am used to being in linux-only environments and I like to have files with permissions and symlinks and all that - which FAT cannot do. So I was planning to format at least one card as ext2, unless it will cause my card to wear faster...
I have two cards as ext2, both have worked fine for more than 9 months.

Good to know, Fahrstuhl. Which brand of SD card are you using?

I ordered two SD cards at Evil Dragon's shop (the 32GB Extrememory one, and the 16GB Samsung one). I'm a bit surprised that those are not in the list on the wiki:

Does anyone have one of those cards and tried ext2 or ext4 without journal (http://kernelnewbies.org/Ext4#head-be7420ad395bed3a0c184889b5f00764cb9beb1e) on them? If not, I'll try it myself and update the wiki when those cards from ED's shop (and my Pandora!) arrive...

If you plan to test ext4 without journaling, please also check cpu usage.

two 32GB Sandisk Ultra cards. Had two Transcend class 10 cards before but had lots of problems with those.

Yes, I based on DaMummy and WizardStan's suggested, I re-flashed with SuperZaxxon Beta3 and everything works fine. Except the Fat32 formatting bit. I'm gonna try Yoshi's fix next
