I've loved my GP32 really loved it. Its been one of my best value purchaes. I've had hours of fun. I suspect in the coming months I will have moved completely over to the GP2X(Its already not getting as much attention as it used to). Its still a very capable device duke3d being released in the last few days have proved that, and I suspect it will have a hardcore fan following for sometime, but I can't see me being one of them.

I could sell it, skip it; leave it in a drawer, but really I'd like it to keep living. I know someone was using it in a school somewhere. I just wondered if someone has a similar use to donate to school, programming club etc.

I suggest you donate it towards the Alex Fund. It is a lovely non-profit organization, dedicated to obtaining electronic gadgets for orphan puppies. :D

or to the save the squirel nuts fron squirely cancer foundation :D (squirels need gp32's to)

There is alot of stuff that won't make it to the GP2X so maybe just keep it. Stuff like Lynx may never come to GP2X.

why not just hold onto it for awhile until gp2x dev kicks into high gear?

or give it to a developer who needs a spare (or hasn't yet actually bought a GP32 but has expressed interest in the scene, and -- obviously -- has some kind of track record or rep or something)

you never know, maybe you'll turn someone else onto the scene who could contribute..!

personally.. i think gp2x looks and sounds great, from the little i know if it (well.... enough for the time being) i have definitely logged a lot of time with my FLU, and the prospect of an upgrade is definitely tempting. but honestly, there's been such a steady stream of real quality releases in the recent history, that it's hard to feel tempted to upgrade. it pretty much does all i would want it to, and then some. now with mame in there it has got pretty much all I ever wanted (if this "snes4all" port business turns out to be worthwhile then, even moreso..!)

so - as long as development doesn't drop off for GP32, I will be happy to stick with my little dusty-screened FLU for awhile yet, before I want to consider looking for $$ I haven't got to invest all over again. Anyway, that;s hwo i feel.. not that anyone asked..

One of the larger devs dosent code now due to lack of a gp32, or atleast actively. Although I cant think of the name off the top of my head..dont know if hes interested though

I would suggest firing it over to someone like WntrMute... he's done great things with devkitARM for it but doesn't even have one, there are probably some other people in this kind of situation but he was the first one who sprung to mind.

if you are going to get rid of it give it to a dev but I agree with ralp99, its going to take a while before the gp2x gets rolling. I use my gp32 everyday and its not for games or music its for studying. I use it to study class notes that I have when tests are coming up or I have it to practice Chinese since I am just learning it. Speaking of which i have to run to that class
