Can we stop with this pointless post/flame/insult/rebuttle cycle and try to bring this topic back to the issue at hand which does actually bring up some interesting points.
Suppose you're a dev who ports an emulator they've previously done on GP32 or another platform and finds that it runs around full speed with minimal optimisation and because of all the work you did on the previous version, the compatibility it top notch too. What do you do if you want to still be an active dev in the community? You could move on to another emulator but it's likely you'll be competing with a more established emulator for that platform, you could help with someone else's emulator but you don't receive as much credit as a project done by yourself (and there is a certain buzz to programming something all by yourself).
The other option however is you stick with your emulator and try to add new gameplay or technical features to enhance it. You could aim to be the first dev to implement 2 player via wireless SD, you could take that idea further and implement netplay. We're gonna end up with many more platforms with full speed emulation this time around so speculation on additional features that could be implemented isn't something that should be considered Taboo imho.
