Is the emulator using the C core? Is it the mame core or charles macdonalds core?
I know his emu is based on Mame 0.34, so i think hes using mame core ( i also read something about 68k core, but im not sure about it) .
About the 166mhz thing... I really dont know anything about it, but i hope he will try to get Mame runing with something lower than 166mhz.
Other things i forgot to say... He is deleting loads of code from Mame 0.34, source code was 15mb and now its 9mb. So hes deleting all the "accesories" ( savestates, screenshots etc... ), why that? Fraxis dont wana damage our SMC, he thinks it would be dangerous.

While I am not suggesting that this is bogus, and I actually do believe it is real it would still be REAL easy to fake.
All you would have to do is take a snapshot in PC MAME, trim it to 320 x 240 and then display it in any of the GP32 image viewers on the actual GP32, and take a picture of the GP32 displaying the PC image. Since you can't see it move you would never know.

Actually, you can see it move. Just look at the red piece, there is a motion blur effect produced by the tft refresh and a slow digital camera... Ok, you can modify an image to show that effect, but It will be much work to just a simple tetris fake...

Well ok, but re-read my post again. I am not suggesting this particular emu or the screens are fake.
I am just stating that it would be real easy to do if you wanted to, and that a picture of a game running on a GP32 could be easily faked.
I opened it in photoshop! and zoomed right in h34r:
no its not fake - theres a reflection of the screen on the grey bit of the GP casing that matches the top of the tetris arch thing! - you cant fake that - its the backlight reflecting!
also - thers no cut lines, photoshop makes sharp lines (unless your a real pro) and when you get close up you can tell they dont match the rest of the image...
and the screen has dust all over it - you cant fake that! - if it were a pc screen shot it would be perfect!

Well silly me for hoping it would be a thread about the progress of MAME ports, but as per usual it just turns into a stupid slanging match about faked screenshots...
...and people wonder why this isn't a friendly community anymore...
