Making Battery Benchmarks?

Now that we've got the ability to change the clock speed and turn off the unused CPU, is there any chance someone could implement the clock speed program into a simple program that does something like display a rotating cube bouncing around the screen and writing the time elapsed to the SD once every minute or so?

It would be handy knowing how much playtime we can expect from various emus and programs...
 
I'd think I've gotten 3 hours+ out of these batteries already. My estimate would be that your power jumps by about a third.

i do wonder about the battery indicator LED ... is that something that responds to hardware voltage levels and will turn itself off or warn you in some way, or does the program running need to do something to make the LED warn you ... or is the firmware/os handling it ... :ph34r:
 
supposedly a future FW upgrade will have the red light stay off untill your battery is low then it will light up to warn you its running out.
