But I can't remember the name! The game was freeware, and I think the author was japanese. The name was something really simple, like "Block" or "Brick", but those aren't it. The game physics and other features were totally unique, and I've never played anything nearly as good. here's some stuff I remember:
The ball acted like it was on a tilted surface, like a pinball table. Instead of a constant speed, the ball would slow down at the top of the board and speed up as it fell down.
Instead of 3 or 4 balls to start, you got about 20 at the beginning of EVERY level. you could press one of the mouse buttons to launch another ball at any time and have a bunch going at once.
Pressing the other mouse button would pull the paddle down to the absolute bottom of the screen, and if you timed the release just right, it would smack the ball and send it flying really fast.
There were "repulsor" blocks that pushed the ball away. the balls had to really be flying to overcome the repulsion field and break the blocks.
The "bigger paddle" powerups stacked. If you got enough, the paddle was the entire width of the board, and you couldn't lose the any balls.
The game truely rocked, and I lost it the last time I formatted my hard drive. If anybody knows the game, please tell me the name!
