Positives:
We will put a Li-Ion battery in our GP32
We will obtain a much longer battery life
ANYBODY can do it without knowing electronics
Negatives:
We will need an external charger, since the GP32 does not have a way of charging
We will have to “hurt/damage” our precious GP32
We’ll have to adjust the battery compartment with a saw and file
Our GP32 will no longer take regular batteries, this can be easily fixed
The battery I used is a CRV3, or the equivalent rechargeable RCRV3, there are other names, LB-01, etc. Each battery is 1.5v, making both together 3v

Shows the pic of the battery compartment and the space holder thing between the batteries. Cut it on each side with a small metal saw, maybe an exacto knife can work. He goes on to say that you can use a soldering iron, but to be very careful using this to melt the plastic. Finally remove the metal springs since they are just to unify the normal batteries (reason normal batteries will no longer work.) and the Li-Ion should fit in nice and snug. If you just follow along with the pics and click on the the “foto” links which means “picture” you don’t have to know Spanish.
This was just a quick run down to help you understand, if anyone wishes to make an indepth one, feel free. As I don’t have a GP32 anymore I can’t look at one and be more descriptive about it, sorry. Also he just mentions he hasn't really tested the battery life since he installed it about 4-5 days ago and used it about 4-5 hours running at 133mhz.
