Is This Illegal/pirated?

@LHC: I don't think we will ever agree on this, your reality is somewhat different from the reality I experience (without judgement on who's view is right or wrong). With every post we stray away from the original discussion and it's simply taking up more time than I would like to waste on this.

Based on what you post you are, in my opinion, either a troll, quite young (by which I mean at a mental age where your point of view is quite rigid) or a bigot (I hope this is the right word, I couldn't think of another one). In any of these cases discussing, while fun, is pointless (and probably endless) and like I said: I don't want to waste anymore time on this.

This may not sound nice but I think it would be rude to just stop talking without an explanation and of course you are completely free to think the exact same way about me and even post it right here :)

Getting back to the music subject: I download all the music I might like, play it for a while and when I find I really like it I buy the CD. The quality is better and I like to support the bands I like. I do the same thing with movies and with some games or software. If I don't think it's worth buying I simply delete the mp3's.

my wang almost got hard reading this shit thread

I kinda figured you're the type of person that does that all the time.

Anyway...I hope this thread holds out until Newegg's legal department contacts me. Then we can get an informed answer to the original question :)

I just made one point about not giving money to millionaires as if they were charities.

My comment was case specific.
I would totally agree with Rico's original sentiments of giving the artist some financial support in other circumstances,

But Green Day. They are super rich
To be honest, I wrote that quote thinking about underground and indie bands. But you can't have double standards. If everyone stopped buying the albums they wouldn't have an incentive to make music (for free, I mean)

Then again maybe that's a good thing, so that the people who make music for the sake of art or getting their message across get supported instead.

DISCLAIMER: I do not follow Green Day. I only heard that crappy 'time of our lives' cover. So if they are actually a humanitarian 'music for the messagr/people' kind of group replace Green Day with, I dunno, Slipknot.

sorry, but i get the piss taken out of me A LOT for it, it's just annoying because everyone always labels me as a thick shit coz i cant spell or read properly (maybe i'm illeterate)

Use Opera it has a spell-checker I use it myself and look a whole lot less stupid than I did before on this forums (although most people will still take me for 'dumb' en such :().

Anyway I to have dyslexic and yes I mis use it sometimes but who wouldn't do that? Extra time on test's is always nice and I really need the time on languages.

Anyway according to Opera's spell-checker this post is free of spell mistakes :D

Does anybody deserve to be millionaires?
No.

Socialist nonsense, maybe some people don't deserve it, rapists who win our National Lottery for example... But why should someone who has come up with something new and innovative that millions of people use not be a millionaire?

1. nobody needs that much money.
2. the extra money could be redistributed more fairly
3. having such extremes of wealth, means distorted levels of power and influence within society, which is unfair.

You can't go around randomly redistributing money, it would just create corruption and people with distorted levels of power and influence within society.

A million pounds isn't that much anyway, you could only just about live comfortably on it for the rest of your life. Many of us will earn more than that in our lifetime.

PS Pirate it Sam, you know you want to.

openoffice.org

Free.

The original poster (sam) specifically said there's a functionality that OpenOffice.org doesn't have that he needs. It's rare, but open-source applications do have their limitations :D
