I just love a mystery, so here we go...
(I'm no HTML expert so flame away)
[snip]
Code:
<frame name="mainaaaa" src="http://www.qksrv.net/click-1322677-4003027" NORESIZE>
[/snip]
When we look at the front page code, there is what looks like a hidden unresizable frame that links to an ad / banner exchange site. Unsuprisingly the account is for liksang. This domain btw (www.qksrv.net)is owned by commision junction, an internet banner ad company.
so 5 minutes on google I learn that this arrangement usually has three purposes;
1 - force the browser to cache the page so future clicks will be extra fast. imagine a site where your likley to hit 'next' alot from a certain page, if you used this method the next page would be half loaded before you had even clicked the link.
2 - to force the browser to cache a banner, that you might not ordinarily be able to host I get the feeling this would be because of some limitation of the application that builds web pages, i could be wrong.. it's just the impression i got.
3 - to hide a page, so that you earn a click through from an ad partner.
It didn't seem logical that we would want to cache the liksang front page to make our regular visits there load quicker.... so that scratched option number 1.
I looked at the gp32x main page html code to see if there was any clue in the source there (www.gp32x.de/index.php)...
the lik sang banner looks like a normal link to me...
[snip]
Code:
<a href="http://www.qksrv.net/click-1322677-4003027" target="_top">
[img]http://www.gp32x.de/baner/lsi_banner_gp33.gif[/img]</a>
<br>

so that leaves option 2 on pretty slim odds. But the index.php code is big, perhaps my untrained eye missed the real banner link.
so option 3, it's to earn a click thru with liksang. Personally I don't mind... in fact if thats what funds www.gp32x.de then GREAT! keep it up. gp32x is an excellent site and an excellent community, even if there were popups here i would still visit. Perhaps the webmaster is being sneaky by hiding the frame, but to be honest i'd rather not see the frame anyway, and the load time isn't exactly out there, even on bad days it's perfectly reasonable.
Of course, i could be wrong, my HTML skills are seriously note pad grade, so i'd gladly stand corrected.
just my 20cents, sorry, i couldn't resist a mystery.
