How Do I Skin My 2.1 Firmware?

Please someone help me to understand how exactly do I get a new skin
on gp2x 2.1 / have allready try'd copying to nand mem, but still thy dont
appear in settings skin/theme why oh why do they not show up??have allso
put them into file I named skins.....but nothing! have also tryd re-formating
nand mem......but nothing! So what do I do?? I have 2.1 firmware and nothing
on my nand mem....so what must I do "In simple terms please" to get a descent
skin onto my GP2X?? :)

Maybe you only updated the firmware and not the interface...
No its a new gp2x I got as a replacement,It came with 2.1 allready on it,
its just me that hase taken everything of the nand mem I just need to now how
to get a skin to work....thanks? :(

So whats a gpu interface / and how would I launch it??? :unsure:

I will have to get back on the details but the basic step is to have a folder/directory on the "nand" that is called "skin" and then have the skin sets in there (*.gps). I tried the archive setup for 2.1 and it did not do what it was supposed to do but I ended up doing it by hand. So the short and sweet would be to create a folder called "skin" on your SD, load the ".gps" files into it and then move that folder to the "nand" drive.

Not being sure what skill level you have I will stop here and let you tell me.

;) Right ok then dos'nt seem to complex i'll give it a go / allthough I have tryd SkinsPack 2.1.x easy install 3 times now without eny luck so i'll give you'r way a try! fingers crossed. :)

I am far from a wizz, I just fought the problem and got tired of the automated way failing and just did it by hand. I telneted into my GP2X from my laptop command prompt and then did it all by hand. Afterwards, I found how to use the explorer to do most of it. We are here to help generally, sometimes laugh at/with you but "help you, we should".
