Help out with some emulation texts

But where are you guys getting all this information?
Its not hard to come up with ..

Most of them are links to wiki pedia I'm betting; more.. people who like retro, know this stuff off the top of our heads :)

jeff
Well, LOL, I love retro, as you well know, but I don't know this stuff off the top of my head!

I am good at finding resources, though...as long as someone points me in the right place to look.

...I'm just going to the repo page of all emulators, here:

http://repo.openpandora.org/?page=all&subcat=Emulator&p=1&s=new

To get the links for the emulator name and maintainer name.

...Going to Wikipedia for the respective systems page to get image of system and to link to the system for more info.

...The lists of features at the bottom of each system I am getting from the Repo page or from the pages on the forums here about each one.

[i would add general info about each system but not sure if that's what ED wants, I think he just wants info on the Pandora emu rather than the system itself]

If you doing some, perhaps work from the back pages on repo [page 10] and work downwards... as I am working upwards from page 1 :)

I'm on page 3 of 10 now

AWESOME work guys :)

The menu is going to fill up quickly :)

Need some time tonight to do that :D

@FZERO:

A bit more explanation would be good.

"An emulator of the Texas Instruments TI99 16-bit home computer." is obvious, when you read that article.

Some features, missing stuff, how well it runs, etc. would be neat.

I'll put them in anyways, as this can always be updated later, and it shows that this system is being emulated, but a bit more description would be nice :)

[YouTube video of Vectrex - TBC]

An emulator allowing some Android games to be played without the need of Android OS.

Some of the more popular Android games work well, including Angry Birds, Cut The Rope and Fruit Ninja.

At present only games are supported and not Android apps.

Restore previous selection on start feature.

I'm only adding explanation/features of each emu that I find on the repo page, and some forum pages where the repo links to them.

The TI99 page on repo has no reviews, also not any description or features list, so I cannot say. I also don't have my own Pandora yet to test myself and give my own opinions. So hopefully other users who can comment will do so once you've got the pages up :)

I will read more forum pages though and see the general consensus from users/testers and add that.

Do you want 'general system' info added too?

By this I mean things like, for example:

"The Megadrive was a hugely popular system worldwide with a library of over x-thousand games"

"The Megadrive was successor to the popular Master System, launched in 1988"

[Or are those type details not what you looking for? - Obviously I can get more details for each system from Wikipedia if you were]

General info is not needed, as most people just want to see whether their favourite system is emulated nicely :D

And if not, they've got the Wikipedia-Link :)

Yeah I figured that was the case.

I'll try locate more emulator specific features and performance points within the depths of the 'Development' and 'Software' threads ...

...Lands I don't venture normally yet :)

Then will update the posts

Yeah, ZXPandy is not a good emulator. The emulation is inaccurate and the user-interface is pretty poor. It looks a lot like FUSE, but not as good. Spectrum emulation on the Pandora is not very well served, but you can find much better emulators than ZXPandy.
