No, BQE stands for black quite edition.

oh ok its a pity cos i reckon itd look nice in silver, but at the same time you dont want to say "ooh look at me im a pansy waist girly computer which can play games" no you want a computer that says "oi mate im a big macho computer with mega hardware thatll blow your face off ur head" so i guess black quite edition is just right for the job :)

EDIT: now this i like

I suppose thats one way of looking at it, but I'm buying it because the cooling is supposed to be top class, except on HDD's for some reason.

Oh, wait, I might go for the same case as vimacs, that looks cool.

EDIT: Hows the temperature inside?

EDIT2: Yep, going with Vimacs setup. May I ask where you purchused your PSU?

the chieftec case is extreme nice, you can mount 80mm fans in front of the hdd, you can also mount a 120(!)mm fan at the back, i sugest a noiseblocker ultra silent 120mm fan(you cant hear them at all if you run them at low speed), silent&cool so case tempreture==room tempreture most time. it also has 2 holes in the side. you can get many additional stuff for it like transperent sides, the transperent sides also have a 80mm fan.

and the case looks norble/professional and is also a bit bigger than normal midi towers but smaller than big towers, so you have enugh room.

i purchased my stuff online at various stores using a price search.

I found the case with no PSU for £45, pretty nice.

How much did you pay for the PSU? Cheapest I found was £70.

yeah, i paid arround 100EUR for the psu with is ~ 70GBP.
i paid ~40EUR for the case, wich is about 30GBP, but afaik they are made in germany, so its natural that they are cheaper here, i think.

Ok, I ended up with:
6800gt PCI-e
1024MB PC4000 RAM
3500+ AMD Athlon64 (Winchester)
Antec TruePower 550W PSU
A8N-SLi Deluxe

This is the main system, the graphics card is the only thing I have still to get, but should have it by the end of next week.

I then plan on getting:
NEC ND3520
Some sort of 80GB SATA HDD, soon to add a 250GB one.

Pretty nice, eh?

£800 :).
We have virtually identical systems. I bought a 6800 GT, 3400+ Athlon (pretty much) and 1 gig RAM, 300W PSU (550W is excessive to me), nForce 2, 120gb HD and case for about £600. I'm assuming your price includes the monitor, and if so, good deal!

Damn! Makes my Dell look real crappy. Oh wait, it already is  . I mean, when you buy a new PC in 2005, you expect an AGP slot  . Sorry, continue with your various conversations :)

WHat are you doing with your old PC finty? I need one, so give me first dibs?
It's going to my Sister, and when she gets a new one I'm thinking of doing some sort of MAME cabnet. Buy a cheap one on eBay :).

Rico: I needed the 550W PSU for the future when I get another 6800gt :D.
