Just got my Pyra yesterday! I am not sure how to setup wifi on it for updates and downloading applications. I'm not familiar with Debian 9, so step by step instructions would be highly appreciated! I managed to scan for wifi networks, but no idea how to connect, tried to Google it and the commands didn't seem to work.

I'm excited to get this started and running an Amiga emulator on it :)

Thank you!

Hey ! It's quite straightforward actually. You simply just need to click to the network of your choice, and then enter the password when invited to.

But where exactly is it? I have just a user folder and was trying to do it on the terminal, to no avail. Otherwise it's just a blank desktop with the pyra logo on it, no drop down menus or other icons I could see.

That got me the menu, thank you! I was able to add the network but now it says it isn't active. I'm using Buster, but I might reflash it with the latest 42 distribution, just to see if that makes things work better in general. I'm used to using raspberry pi OS, but the Pyra is really cool so far, just need to figure it out. The next step is figuring out the best Amiga emulator for it, FS-UAE, unless there's a Pyra specific build somewhere? I was mostly looking at debian 10 applications.

FS-UAE should be just available for armhf off the regular Debian repository, not sure on performance though. In the past the best arm based Amiga emulator was UAE4ALL, but it would likely have to be ported to the Pyra specifically.

The network isn't active?
So you could select your wifi, login and it connected?
Or did that connection fail?

If it did connect, can you ping your gateway (router probably)?
In a terminal: ping 192.168.0.1
(usually that's the default for a home router/modem)
If that works it must be something with connecting to the internet.

If the wifi connection itself fails: maybe you have too modern wifi encryption?

The Pyra actually has fairly decent Wifi Hardware unlike the Pandora, it should work right out of the box like any other Linux system. So it's fairly unusual to see issues like yours.
