Very luckily the parcel had returned and so...

That's kind of not fair... since I have personal bias... but I will type up a quick overview in a second. I want to a video overview too once I have time! :)

Today I'm trying to enjoy my Pandora time before I have to scoot off to work!

Its okay, I was only half serious. I based my suggestion on your previous assertion that you were very very much looking forward to seeing the thing on the Pandora itself finally. :)

Please, pay it no mind and continue your Pandorian honeymoon. :D

PandoraPanic!

OK I've finally been able to play it and it runs very very well especially since I've been coding blind! :) One issue is that the version on the app centre is an older version with a slightly dated manual and some achievement bugs... And I still haven't got upload rights... doh. So I recommend you grab the PND from my signature for the time being since it's the more fixed version :p

The title screen does what it's supposed to... it's running in 16bit colourspace though, and the gradients have like a looney tunes sort of look because of the lack of 32bit colours... it doesn't look bad just different from when I've been testing on the PC. Incidentally, PP! choose the current display mode of what it is running on so the reason it uses a 16bit colour space is because of the Pandora running at 16bit by default.

The good:
Everything plays as was intended, the spelling games work the rotations work and such all effects that were available on my test builds for PC are also working the same on the Pand.
Save files save to the appdata directory fine and are read fine, so thanks go out to skeezix and other devs of the PND system it's working as it should!
Nubs work! I left test code on the title screen and you can scroll using the left nub... in needs some tweaking but it works! :D
Touchscreen works - again test code on the title screen.

The Bad:
Alpha effects although used sparingly still cause noticeable slow down - Arena feels a little tiny bit sluggish because of shadows, the achievements display screen scrolls a little slowly.
General complaint of the sound currently is that over so often it messes up and becomes muffled. It's a general Pandora issue which I'm sure will be cleared up in future OS revisions.

Overall:
PandoraPanic! is the game I thought it would be, suits the Pandora just fine, future versions will make use of the touch screen and nubs, and if I can figure out how to use the microphone too... we can add some more spice to these mini-games.
expect a minor updated build soon which adds a little bit more polish to the current release build!

Mine arrived today too, i'm very happy with it! The keybpard layout is great to use and the nub mouse works very well.

Yeah we need someone to start optimized SDL project for this with NEON and stuff.

Watched your video. It seems as though you have far less of a warp on the left part of the top lid when closed... am I just seeing things wrong? Also, your shoulder buttons look better than many of the earlier units as well. Maybe it's just the lighting, but it would be nice to see some minor improvements over the first units, if true.
