I could not get Handy to work until I put the Lynx system image files in the handy directory.
You need to have the files lynx.bin and lynxboot.img in the handy directory or the emulator won't work.
Good luck...

could you clarify where you put the files to get this to work?
And what's lynx.bin? Does it not have a rom selector?
Ta.

I just tested and it looks like it works without needing the lynx.bin file.
I now just have lynxboot.img in the /handy directory.
It looks like the lynxboot.img file I have is 512 bytes.
Here is my handy directory:
12/27/2005 12:15 PM 1,477,876 handy_binary
12/26/2005 09:39 PM 338 handy_config
12/26/2005 09:37 PM 81 handy_launcher.gpe
12/19/2005 11:28 PM 18,452 selector
03/07/2000 09:55 PM 262,208 Ms. Pac-Man.lnx
01/03/2001 11:12 AM 416,929 double_dragon.lss
10/05/1997 03:43 AM 262,208 Lemmings.lnx
10/05/1997 03:43 AM 262,208 Paperboy.lnx
01/29/2001 07:51 PM 512 lynxboot.img
9 File(s) 2,700,812 bytes

This setup works for me...

And what's lynx.bin?

Some emulators require a file like lynx.bin in order to run the games.
Most likely lynx.bin stores common commands and/or information that is shared by every lynx game (kinda like the SDL libraries on the gp2x). If you don't have the bin file then the Lynx games can't run because they dont have the needed libs/info.

The same thing goes for the PSX emulators

hope that helps. :)

the way to do this is to call it LYNXBOOT, and miss the .img, this seemed to work for me

Tried that and didn't work. Added the .img back and it worked.

At least I have it working now. Cheers.

I got it up and running, but most of the games I've tried with it seem to bomb out to the gp2x launcher.

i found my problem was i was putting it in a directory

gp2x:\games\handy

that didnt work so i moved it to just

gp2x:\handy

and it worked.

I do not have the LYNX.bin either. so it proves you dont need that.

now im gonna go party like its 1989

You shouldn't be using this old Lynx emu as it is old.

You should use this one as it runs full speed with sound:
