The theme comes with images in one of the subfolders. They need to be manually resized.

I recommend Phatch for batch image proccessing :)

Ok, that folder is for one of the Shiki GTK themes. Basically you have two systems at work which are skinned: GTK (buttons and widgets, everything inside the window) and XFWM (XFCE Window Manager: title bars and window borders, everything around the window).

Some of the folders which contain XFWM theme information:

Shiki-colors-metacity
Shiki-colours-easy-metacity

Inside they will have folders called 'xfwm4' which means 'XFCE Window Manager 4'. A window manager is the system which governs the parts around the window (they are split in two within Linux). Metacity is another window manager used within gnome, and there are folders called 'metacity' inside here too. You don't need these (we are not using Gnome, we are using XFCE) ... they can be deleted.

Find out which XFWM theme you are using in the 'Window Manager' options in the control panel. :)

thanks a lot.

I think I have looked into a wrong place.

For the shiki-...-easy--

If someone is lazy, the attachment is the double sizes title bar..see if they are ok for you .

Thx again.

Great guide, I would have been able to follow it even if it wasn't so simple, but this should be easy for even my grandma to follow :p

any chance of the engine being uploaded

theres a new version and it requires extra dependencies
thanks

I managed to get the new one installed today. It looks like the only dependency it was complaining about was libxcb1 which I downloaded from the Angstrom site. I grabbed the armv7a version. After installing it using:

Code:
sudo opkg install libxcb1_1.6-r4.1.9_armv7a.ipk
Murrine engine installed without complaint.

Hello,

The first image of this How-To is missing ;)
Thanks I have finally succeed in changing my theme :p

Does anyone have the GTK-Murrine from the picture? The one at the link is updated an no longer works on the Pandora.

Edit: Never mind missed the post above.

Could someone please update this guide or point me (and hopefully others like me) to a similar guide to install the engine and use these themes on our XFCE-running Pandoras? Unfortunately the pictures in the original post (although cute) are in a way to low resolution to be readable!

Dont think anyone noticed but the images are too small to read could we get a new guide?
