Greatest platformer of all time

I never had any consoles growing up,  so my favourites were all PC titles:

The Commander Keen series

Captain Comic  (I'd almost forgotten this one.  As mentioned above, quite unforgiving.  My key to finishing it was finding places where I could just stand and shoot approaching enemies for long periods to run up my score and recover lives)

Duke Nukem  (the original)

Duke Nukem II

- Neelix

Good grief - you guys have not once mentioned the greatest two platformers of all time...

http://www.worldofspectrum.org/infoseekid.cgi?id=0003012&loadpics=3'>Manic Miner and http://www.worldofspectrum.org/infoseek.cgi?regexp=^Jet+Set+Willy$&pub=^Software+Projects+Ltd$&loadpics=3'>Jet Set Willy.

The mind boggles. Call yourselves gamers? Tch.

No love for Cave Story?

or

VVVVVV?

The 2 best platformers I've played on Pandora.

Greatest of all time : Super Mario Galaxy 2, but I guess that doesn't count until someone releases a Wii emulator for Pandora 2  :p

I've been told that James Pond was a pretty nice platformer, haven't got around to trying it myself.

Not really a platformer, but I adore Three Dirty Dwarves for the Saturn. Alas my copy has been stolen and the games goes for a premium nowadays :-/
