Gp2x Lock Up

As Gruso mentioned, Dosbox needs the game files to run. They also have to be configured properly.

You can use the examples included in Dosbox as a guide and reference to how to setup the games, as well as read the Readme and instructions. Also, have you ever tried using Dosbox for a (PC) desktop? These would definitely help in understanding how to configure and play games. ;)

As for the FFPlay, I infer that you are just using what were included in it. If so, they would likely result in a blank screen, as those default scripts won't allow you to pick a file to load. They are scripts that load a predefined file located in the same folder named either "video.avi" or "music.mp3" for the video and music gpu's respectively. If you want to be able to pick a file to play, then using a file selector such as the Selector would enable this.

From the GP2Xpdf Readme:
QUOTE
GP2Xpdf is port of Xpdf (http://www.foolabs.com/xpdf) adapted for the GP2X.

This port requires the gp2x11 server (http://x11.gp2x.de) to be installed.

Thanks for the info guys. For dosbox, I did have a couple examples that had all the files, the problem was I didn't have dosbox in the root of my sd card, so the path in the config was off.

For ffplay, I am hearing that it takes the file to play on the command line. I haven't had luck with selector yet, I assumes it was a menu driven app, but it sounds like I may have that wrong.

It looks like my main problem originally was the FAT vs FAT32, who would think this would cause such issues.

My last question. Has anyone with the f200 tried to flash it to 4.0 again? That is the one things that is failing that concerns me. If I get everything else working, I don't want it to be unflashable, incase a new flash comes out.

Cheers, and thanks a bunch. If I figure out the whole flash thing, I think I'll be ok.
