Has anyone else tried emailing them, i have had no luck getting any answers....

wanted to change delivery address - no reply
i got a faulty usb cable and asked for a response - no reply
got sent an integral brand card when their site obviously shows SanDisk, asked them to clarify on site as i wasnt exactly pleased with being mislead - no reply

however in contrast very helpful on the phone (how i eventually got my delivery address sorted)

Is it that they just dont bother reading them or what? anyone else anymore successful?

Known problem, use an SD card reader.

There is no brand on the site, so they send whatever they want. You were misinformed.

Look again eagle eye.

thats not what i was getting at all, i was merely asking if anyone else had even got a reply!

i was aware of the faulty usb before i bought it, i was wondering since its a 'known' issue if they would do anything about it

Also fair enough i wasnt "eagle eyed" enough to miss they fail to mention a brand at the order stage

a council email account, with titles like Delivery or GP2X question, nothing that should catch a filter...

We answer every email we get, but we do have an agressive spam filter *anything* with an attachment of any kind will never get to us for example.

If it is urgent just phone up, it is much quicker and easier.

I feel I must add my 2p to this thread.

I have contacted gp2x.co.uk via email several times over the last few days, always quoting my order number in the subject.

Its always been a speedy reply and answered my questions/sorted out problems without fail.

The only thing lacking IMHO is notification of order status etc. I had to query where my order was and subsequently where my batteries were several days later (They hadnt got the batteries/charger in stock, so I got a refund for those). However I always recieved what I believed to be an honest reply.

GP2X.co.uk gets a thumbs up from me. :D

Hi Craig,

I did sent one querying a "faulty" breakout board, but didn't get a reply.
However, as I posted on one of the forums, the problem seemed to be
firmware related as 2.0 worked, 2.1 didn't, 2.1.1 worked again.
Just in case this question arises again.

Yeah I also sent a couple of e-mails to gp2x.co.uk from different accounts - plain text mails - no response to any of them.

Guess I'll have to spend my L150 somewhere else...

Yes, Shikaku, thank you, fortunately I saw that message, as I tend to read before I post - that's why I wrote "plain text e-mails" :) One thing is that "phoning up" from where I live costs around L1 per minute, so it's less hassle for me to order the gp2x from a place where they read customers' e-mails (hey, after all, it's the 21st century - I don't expect too much, do I?). The other thing is that perhaps adding a whitelist word "gp2x" in craigix's spam filters would benefit the customers a great deal...
