GOG.com

Oh well, a bit gutted as it was actually on my wish list and it's only the 2nd freebie I've ever clicked.

Carmageddon TDR 2000 (GOG) is free for 48 hours on Gog's home page.

This week at GOG.com: Tycoon Academy Sale. Get all yer city builders, transport sims, theme park sims, tower sims, and corporate sims at unbeatable prices!

I'm tempted to get SimCity 4 and Capitalism Plus myself. Already have Tropico Reloaded, SimCity 2000, Theme Park, and Theme Hospital.

Guys, I got put on a prepaid debit card to manage my online spending. I had $10 left on it and was going to maybe get SimCity 4 and/or Capitalism Plus from the GOG weekly sale, but then Humble Bundle went and came out with this darn Paradox Interactive 2018 Bundle earlier today.

I have $4 left on my card now, not enough for either SimCity 4 or Capitalism Plus, and all I have to show for it is Crusader Kings II, Europa Univeralis III Complete, Hearts of Iron III Collection, and Pillars of Eternity, games which boast hundreds of hours of gameplay. Woe is me.

Guys, heads up, apparently the GOG weekly sale is missing in action. Could there be a larger sale in the works for later this week? We'll have to wait and see...

I think Steam are particularly good at selling; where they have a queue of recommended games, and send updates of games in your wishlist that are on sale.

I'd accrued a couple of hundred games that way, mostly for under £5, which seemed like good value at the time. However, when I've spent an average of ten minutes in 90% of those games, the value for money becomes significantly less.

It can almost become the most addictive game in finding the next "bargain", and definitely marks a problem is you're spending more time finding that bargain than playing the actual game.

Speaking of that, Steam Lunar New Year Sale supposedly starts Thursday. Yay for DRM'd, barely Linux compatible games!

Heads up, yet another GOG giveaway: Dungeons II.

3.5 out of 5 stars, and my craptop can't run it, but who can say no to free stuff? I would accept a free pineapple enema if offered. >_>

@JDTAY your're not missing anything. Dungeons 2 is well known to be complete and utter crap in comparison to dungeon keeper. See here for a critical review: https://www.destructoid.com/review-dungeons-2-366096.phtml
Apparently it's not as bad as the first Dungeons iteration though, but I wouldn't even take it for free.

Play "War for the Overworld" instead, it's the real deal designed by former Bullfrog Devs who had worked on dungeonkeeper before. I used to be pretty buggy, but I think they have fixed all of the mess.
