but were a little surprised to see the top-end model out of action today as it’s still a prototype.
Still, the others performed well, especially on an MP4 of a clip from the Matrix.
I want to echo this sentiment. I also never had a GP32 and it would be tough to go wrong picking up a compatible machine at $75, especially if *fingers crossed* it takes SD cards instead of SMCs.icurafu posted on May 11 2006 at 06:01 AM said:Will the kids be compatible with GP32 software? mini has the same cpu as xgp cpu. so you can play 3D games with mini as well. however, the ram and memory is not enough to play most of 3D games in the market.icurafu posted on May 11 2006 at 09:01 PM said:no talk about the 3D on the mini. BUT, I cannot guarantee anything.
Hm, since we never heard about the XGP kids, could we get some specs?spark1021 posted on May 12 2006 at 06:08 AM said:Hi!!!
My name is Sung and I'm currently
working at XGP booth in E3 as a promoter...
So if you have any questions about our
XGP series feel free to send me e-mails
or replies this message. I will make sure
that all the questions will be heard by
our president since his attending E3 right
now... By the way (unlike other big companies...)
he is the main designer and
engineer for XGP... so he could even able to
answer your tech relate questions.... So
just feel free to ask~
p.s. is there anybody coming to our booth tommorow?
if you do so... please say 'hi' to me~ ^_^
let's just say that I have a "reliable" source at gamepark.Fishbong posted on May 12 2006 at 03:29 PM said:Where did you get this information?awakenjsy posted on May 12 2006 at 01:53 AM said:mini has the same cpu as xgp cpu. so you can play 3D games with mini as well. however, the ram and memory is not enough to play most of 3D games in the market.icurafu posted on May 11 2006 at 09:01 PM said:no talk about the 3D on the mini. And will it be backwards compatible with the GP32? And if so, could GP32 programs run at higher speed on the XGP Kids?
And what exactly is this "GPOS" we were hearing about, is it related to the GP32 (euro)firmware?

Agreed. I was pretty excited about picking up the XGP Kids for cheap and being able to play the GP32 stuff in a tiny package, but the resolution has put me off of that idea completely. Make it 320x240 and I'll be all over that shit.Cyclops posted on May 12 2006 at 06:05 AM said:I was exited about the mini, then more exited by the kids, but now I've seen the screen resolution for the kids, Its a no go which is a shame.
I can't imagine that they would not use the same resolution on the mini. Its even too small for GBA emulation.
