Fullspeed Games On Psp Snes Emu

well damn... I had already taken that rom off of my MS and am stuck at work w/o a working card reader. Sweet news though thanks for the update.

Street Fighter II Turbo runs full speed at FS 1 if you turn transparencies off, for which there are no noticeable drawbacks, don't think there are any transparancy effects in that game.

Presumably, Super SF II and regular SF II would work that good as well?

nice to have a full six buttons as opposed to playing it on the GP :D

Super Metroid now works in y15, looks like I can throw the official v3 off my card :D looks like it's running fullspeed at FS 1... color me impressed....

The official version still runs more roms for me (like Aerobiz Supersonic) but the unofficial is catching up nicely.

I was shocked to see that SF Alpha works.

I KNEW I had SF Alpha 2 working before!! I couldn't remember for sure... I took it off my memory stick for some reason.

Ah well... I just accidentally erased my whole SNES folder so will have to retransfer everything tommorow anyways, have to be sure to put SF Alpha and Mario kart back on there....

i'm using the newest PSPGenesis, v13 i think.

sonic 3 and knuckles and sonic 2 and knuckles both failed to load.

sonic1 was running brilliantly well at 333 with line rendering

i just tried this emu with sonic 1, and when i load the emu up i just get a red screen with a red line at the top, no text or anything, when i press any random buttons sonic started up but i dunno how to change clock speed and frame rates. anyone else had this trouble? i deleted it and tried kxsploiting it back on but its still the same.

You have to put the file system.fnt that come`s with the emulator in the Megadrive emulator folder on the PSP, Then you will be able to see the files/roms in the requester.

yep made that mistake myself, you need the .fnt file or you can't see any of the text on the screen.

Er, that's kinda naive. Imagine what Nintendo, Sega etc would say if Sony oficially allowed people to play their Roms on their machine.....?!!!!

Yeah imagine there was a machine that let you play nearly every game from dreamcast and every console before that and even sort of ps2 and GC. What do you think sony, nintendo, sega ect would do ? :p

I've finally gone and ordered my 1Gb memstick, so wll have plenty of room for playing in a day or so. From what I've seen so far, some of the PSP homebrew stuff is very impressive already, and with a few months tweaking, should be more or less perfect...

where do i put the roms for snes9x?

do i put them in the snes9x folder?

or in the snes9x/save folder?

when i put my sram save into the save file, chrono trigger didnt recognize it!! whats up with that?

The snes roms should be in the same folder as the snes emulator eboot.pbp file.

As for the sram save files, It depends on which emulator you got the .srm file from. Not all .srm file are compatible and interchangeable with every emulator on every system.

Good news for Seiken Densetsu 3 fans or for anyone who wants to play one of the best SNES RPG's ever on the PSP SNES emu...

the v. 2y18 version of the unofficial SNES emu has been released and now supports high resolution mode!

For anyone who didn't know, the english translated version of Seiken 3 was not playable on PSP because the text/font used was only readable with high resolution support.

Now you can play the translated version perfectly in the snes emu on PSP :)

i used snes9x on my comp and made a sram file for chrono trigger, then i used snes9x on my psp and made another sram file, even though they were made from the same emulator, they have different file names? why is that?

what does perfectly mean in this case? really perfectly?
or is this just one of the "it plays fullspeed perfectly at frameskip=7"?

Umm.. try changing the name? I got a ZSNES sram save to work in SNES9xPSP, so I can't imagine this wouldn't work with SNES9x, too.

I meant perfectly as in, the translated english text is now readable. With sound and transparencies on, you have to run like FS 2 or 3 to get fullspeed. I know a lot of people cringe at FS 3 but since the PSP screen blurs a little it actually makes the 'higher' FS values not look so bad.

I dunno it works fine for me I love it.
