An updated Frodo2x is now available. Improvements:

* Graphics code is speeded up - it now runs at full speed with no frameskip.
* Zip file support is now working

WOW :D

Now I reallly grow impatient ... damn customs

Geez, you are NOT helping me waiting for my GP2x any easier, here. :)

Cheers Snaff this rox old school styleee lol.

Does anyone know where i can get some cool c64 trailers or intros I can download to show off my GP2X at work tommorow. Thanks :D

EDIT : I found these so far http://www.zimmers.net/anonftp/pub/cbm/c64.../pal/index.html anyone know any others music preffered.

The most comprehensive site for intros would be - http://intros.c64.org/

It has hundreds of classic c64 intros ripped from cracks throughout the life of the c64.

A good source for demos and releases as well as new releases is - http://csdb.c64.org

Unfortunately, as good as FrodoGP/Frodo2X is (compared to other Frodo platforms it seems to be better, due to Groepaz graphic engine?), it still is not perfect emulation as you might find in VICE or CCS64. This is difficult to achieve and takes some grunt, for various reasons C64 is not so easy to emulate perfectly. So, the best demos and some intros, and cutting edge games, aren't going to work.

Apparently Frodo5 was to be an accurate emulator, but that has been in the works for so long it is quite likely vapour. That's the original Frodo btw, snaff's Frodo would seem to be a completely different beast.

Also, I'd love to see cartridge support in Frodo, so that I can run my Action Replay cart, do some code hacking on the run ;)

Anyway, this Frodo port does satisfy me for the most part, hopefully though on GP2X we will see a full and comprehensive c64 emulator.

Finally, good work Snaff! B)

Glad to see someone was finally gurufied :)

Aaaah :)
Played 4 hours C64 yesterday on my gp2x.

Amazing :) Thanks :)

BTW: Any chance of getting some games like Alter Ego to work? It doesn't recognize Disk Changes (even if I turn on 1541 emulation).

Doesn't work on Win32 Frodo, too, I just wanted to know if you actually want to take a look into the emulation itself :)

it's absolutely great to see that you continued your work on the frodo-emu :)
C64er emulation was the reason, i bought my GP32 back in 2003...

do you also plan to improve the savestates?
or to implement .config files for the games, like in other console-emus? the advantage would be that you can configure the keyset, 1541 emu on/off, etc.. and don't have to do it over and over again, each time you load the game....

but anyways, thanks a lot :)
