Does it always make a sound when u boot can u disable it?
i think it can be changed by creating sound with nothing in it in the same format of the sound in firmeware upgrade and same name and booting your GP2x with START++SELECT and juste the sound file on your SD.

if you have the original Uboot fromt firmeware 1.4.0 you have to format your SD card in FAT32 en put on it the gp2xboot.img file. Boot your gp2x with your SD card inserted and the uboot will update (5 minutes max).
then after this delet the gp2xboot.img file from your sd and put the over file from this update on yuor SD. Boot your GP2x with de sd card inserted pressing START&SELECT. finish :D

Im working on the user guide at the moment. I have rewrote the firmware updating section for v2.0.0 and i want to add the basic info for the new features so people can at least know what everything does. i hope to get this done in a few hours and release it. I will start work on the more advanced stuff such as the USB network etc over the weekend.

shit. mine is stuck at the green boot screen. how long is it supposed to stay there?

Do you mean the green "version 2.0.0 loading screen"? Turn off your gp2x, press start+select (and keep pressing!) and turn on your gp2x

2. NAND support improvement.
-User can use NAND Memory area.
You can copy, delete and move files in NAND Memory when connecting USB through PC.

How to upgrade Firmware
-------------------------------------------

The way of upgrading firmware has been changed dramatically. Please, refer to guide below.

- In the case of upgrading firmware version 1.4.0 to version 2.0.0, switch off the system 15 seconds after updating screen appears and then follow the steps as below.

- if you already installed Firmware V2 and when reinstalling it, you may skip the process mentioned above and go on the process as below.

*Please use over 128MB when installing firmware.
(After you upgrade 2.0.0, you can upgrade firmware with under 128MB)

*Please make sure that the SD card system is FAT32, when you install firmware.
If the SD card mode is FAT mode, you should change it into FAT 32 mode.
We recommend you to copy useful data from the SD Card and then paste them on your PC before formatting the SD Card.
(After you upgraded firmware to version 2.0.0, GP2X will be able to support FAT 32 and FAT 16 as well.

*It may take 10 minutes to upgrade firmware due to the various firmware improvements.
Please use AC adaptor or full charged battery when you upgrade firmware. Being discharged during upgrading firmware may hurt the system.
