I did like Turok 1 & 2 (3 sucked balls) on the N64 though, those were the best they had IMHO.Akuma no Houkon posted on Apr 19 2004 at 03:43 AM said:Haha, someone gave me a N64 awhile back, I gave it away the next day, its the worst system in the history of console systems. Large, akward controlers that you have to hold from the center just to use the d pad. Bulky, expensive cartidges, severly limiting the possiblities, and a game selection that wasnt much of a selection, full of mario64 clones, and FPS's, with the occasional race game or fighter, and a puzzle game thrown in every now an then. The game selection left A LOT to be desired. Of course this is why the majority of the population purchased a Playstation, making it the best selling console ever, completely dwarfing the sales of N64. (and to this day the playstation brand still dwarfs even N's newest system)
Genesis was so much better than N64, and if you compare the sales of each console I am almost 100% positive that the sales of the Genesis dwarf the N64 by a large margin.
It takes a very young kid or a very large N fanboy, to like the N64. It had a couple noteable games that were decent, playable, but compared to the games that were great and playable for the genesis, its no comparision.
Hmm I normally agree with most of your opinions but not this time (the statement above not the N64 vs Genesis part). The N64 was quality over quantity when it game to games. Mario 64. Zelda, Golden Eye and Perfect Dark where all amazing for the time (my Cousin and Uncle each brought a N64 after just playing Golden Eye on mine). The control pad was revolutionary and it wasn't long before Sega and Sony copied the analogue sticks. The four ports on the front and the ability to play four player split screen was a blast (more fond Golden Eye moments springing to mind). Oh and I'm not Nintendo fan boy (never even owned a Nes). Just my 2p. I'll shut up now. :unsure:Akuma no Houkon posted on Apr 19 2004 at 03:43 AM said:It takes a very young kid or a very large N fanboy, to like the N64.
