I was just wondering if there was a way or a project going to make psp games playable on the gp2x. A psp only has ~333 mhz and a gp2x has a dual core 200-275 mhz processor. Can it be done? Has it been done and am i an idiot? Tell me!

Yes, a PSP emulator has been out for two weeks now, everyone's playing it lmao. get it at the archives and join in the fun!~ :)

PS: some intense games like gta don't run at frameskip 0 though, so if playign them at fs1 (30fps) doesn't bother you, you'll be just fine lol :)

OK, from a serious technical standpoint, no.

The GP2X doesn't have hardware 3D processing. Trying to do what the PSP can in software on the GP2X = Very Slow. Beyond Slow.

The GP2X cannot emulate everything. The GBA has a 16.7MHz processor, the GP2X a whopping 200MHz. That's at least 10 times, and we still don't have a good emulator. Why? A ) Time to code, and B ) Performance hit due to emulation.

The SNES still doesn't have 100% speed emulation. Close, very close, but on some it still doesn't work well. Please, use some common sense.

EDIT: Hate graphical emoticons. XD;
