Whata good program for encoding movies into moviepark divx format, and something with a frontend please. I'm not really a linux user, I'm a windows user who just likes how gnome looks more :D. I've already tried Avidemux, but that doesn't support divx anymore <_<

VirtuaDub......VirtuaDub is definitely the way to go.

For EXTRA help go to ...VCDHelp

Thanks THe Mile From the Cow, thats the best first post I've seen on the boards :D, although does Xvid actually work with moviepark?

And jeghegy, can you give me a link to virtuadub for linux?

I suggest avoiding xVID...I've encountered so many problems running videos encoded by it, so I suppose Moviepark would have the same problem (if it even supports xVID, which I doubt it does).

Try http://www.divx-digest.com for VirtualDub tutorials, as well as all the codecs and software needed.

You may need to compile VirtualDub for your distribution unless its PLD. Try the virtual dub main website, there should be a link on DivX-Digest.

VirtualDub in windows or mplayer/avidemux combo for linux.

Both supports divx and xvid, but I think moviepark can only play divx. GPCinema can do xvid tho, which is what I'm using. Never had any real problems with it, only haven't RTFM properly :D

Yeah i stick to divx most of the time but if you want ultimate quality one one smc then xvid can be good. On gp32 divx theres an xvid finding nemo at 18 fps, big audio and video bitrates and it still just about fits on one smc.

I have tested lots of encoding and I think the XVID is the best for MoviePark. And Moviepark CAN take care of Xvid very very very very very WELL.. I always do them to XVID movies when im gonna watch on my GP32.
