Dreamcast "STURMWIND" most beautiful shooter ever

^^^^yeah i have the se sturmwind. Its nice. Must find time to play it.tomorrow i think.

On another note gunlord is worth a look too. I got to the last boss in the game but didnt beat him.lovely game though and nice sprite graphics.

Have gunlord and was wholly disappointed in it Turrican 2 is way superior ngdev games are half baked at best fast striker is ok but gunlord shooter xyz and last hope avoid.Id like to see a Blazing Star followup or prequell

^^^^i played under defeat a bit but it didnt seem so great.might need more playing.

I enjoyed gunlord though definately not as good as turrican 2.

Gunlord was not very difficult which was refreshing imo.

Must give sturmwind more playing time.

Zero gunner 2 i loved.

So far sturmwind seems to not be too difficult, well im on world 2 already. I'm sure it will get harder though.

Its fun which is important

Thats what i love about it Wrath of Khan its old skool not bullet hell it hastens back to the 80's and the 90's when shootemups were shootemups and not where you were a pixel out and dead dont get me wrong it gets hard later on but it's always fair see if you look closely at specific points in the game there are classic iconic characters and devices from the programmers past like so far ive spotted lemmings a jaguar console box the parasol from parasol stars and samus iran from metroid

Sturmwind gets a good review in this months Retro Gamer - overall score of 88%

In more general terms I'm really enjoying Raiden Legacy on Android (Nexus 7) now they've finally added Hardware Dpad support for movement, still had to mess with GameKeyboard to assign hardware controls to Bomb (could just be my controller) but that only took seconds to do. :)

Unfortunatelly they screwed up with raiden legacy ommiting raiden 2 which to this day still hasnt got an arcade perfect port and is still unemulated

Try the Raiden Project on PSX which of course runs rather well indeed on Pandora. You will not be disappointed. :)

It would have been nice to see Raiden 2 but what's on offer is still 4 awesome shooters for less than the cost of a Sandwich + a Coffee.

Finished Raiden Project on Pandora's PCSX-ReArmed and it was awesome!  :D

Half baked comes to mind Raiden project and collection were nowhere near arcade perfect i know i could do the second loop on the arcade version still hope one day mame will beat that nasty encryption

Did they screw up, or was it omitted for legal reasons beyond my understanding? Caz there is only one solution: Buy the Arcade cabinet of Raiden II and make EVERYONE reading this thread jealous.  For the record i enjoyed Raiden Project but i agree it was far from an arcade conversion.

Thanks for reminding me about this game guys. I totally forgot about this but I just put my order in for one. There's been quite a few newer releases for the Dreamcast and I wanted to know if anyone has a list of them all.

From searching I came up with about 10 or so games, did I miss any?

Sturmwind

Gunlord

Fast Striker

Last Hope

Neo XYX

Rush Rush Rally Racing

Dux

Ghost Blade

Geist Force

Pier Solar

Wind and Water Puzzle Battles

Sine Mora on Android eh, nice one, d/l that now.

Have it on the PS3 but rarely make time to play it, will get more time on the phone with this

Space Shot was great considering it was a budget release when it first came out and was very cheap to buy. Ironically it probably costs more now than it ever has.

I thought i'd better mention the wierd PS1 shooter Gamera 2000 because thats pretty good aswell. Yes its a Panzer Dragoon rip-off, but its pretty cool! What other game lets you have a Giant Turtle-Monster as your wing-man/missile launcher? very few i suspect...
