I've got mine ordered too, just hope im lucky enough to get one from this batch
I think VAT is only in Britain? Maybe wrong though.Ravnos posted on Mar 21 2007 at 08:16 PM said:For the option "+ stick button at the bottom:", if I select "modification: NO" because I plan to do it myself, will I get the stick button sent to me as well? Plus instructions, maybe? I'm sure I can figure it out, but any help is always appreciated. $46 plus shipping is pretty expensive, I'd much rather DIY and save a ton. Also, how much does it cost for just the parts without VAT (for us outside the EU)?

I would buy one, but the shipping is crazy, it isn't like ED or DaveC is making money off of the high price I would pay. But all that money just for shipping would be nuts. :wacko:EvilDragon posted on Mar 21 2007 at 10:26 AM said:MK1 might still be left, I haven't checked with the preorders yet.

It means they'll also mod the GP2X so that there's an extra button to replace the "stick click" that you lose when the d-pad is installed. I asked a question about purchasing it with the d-pad to install myself but it wasn't answered.Alpha2 posted on Mar 21 2007 at 06:59 PM said:Say quick question. I've been away for a while and havent been keeping up, great to see this finally beceome something I can seriously concider since the stick issue has had my 2X sitting arounc catching dust.
Anyway my question is: what exactly dose the option "+ stick button at the bottom" mean anyway?? There's no explaination on the site that I can see and I'd really like to know if it's something I might need before I take the plunge which I definatly feel is a good idea.
EvilDragon posted on Mar 21 2007 at 08:37 PM said:Okay, most MK1 are gone already - only two left at the moment.
The rest of you guys who already ordered should've gotten an eMail already whether you got one (MK1) or not (MK2)
@DaveC: Already 9 MK2 on preorder... I guess we got a lot more work to do, eh?

I ordered one.EvilDragon posted on Mar 21 2007 at 07:39 PM said:Ravnos posted on Mar 21 2007 at 09:16 PM said:For the option "+ stick button at the bottom:", if I select "modification: NO" because I plan to do it myself, will I get the stick button sent to me as well? Without VAT, it's 19% less.
Or you can setup an account and log in as it will show the price without VAT (if you're outside the EU).
If you take + stick button and without modification, you'll get the kit including the stick button.
I don't charge anything for modding the stick button, as it doesn't take much more time when I already mod the gp2x itself, so the price is the same.
So DIY is possible.
Yeah, it seems if anyone can judge stubbornness here, then it´s you, Dave .DaveC posted on Mar 21 2007 at 05:15 PM said:Obviously the best solution would be for GPH to just put in a damn D-pad themselves in the first place. But suggesting something to the insanely stubborn GPH is worse than talking to a wall. I would get more response out of the wall
