First of all thanks for all the hard work put in by Ell for porting the Cps2Emu to the GP2X.
Second, I haven't been in touch with Ell at all. I'm not hijacking his project; I just want to contribute to it! Hopefully if there is a version 8; these changes will make it in.
Summary of new features:
I'm also a big fan of saving hi scores; MAME does this already so I was wondering why Cps2Emu wasn't doing so. The original code by NJ curiously didn't support it, though all the other usual MAME features were there. So I grabbed the relevant code from MAME, made some adjustments and shoe-horned it in. It seems to work fine with the games I've tested. It would be easy to add to the PSP version too, but our GP2X version is now one up on 'em! :-D
There are some games that do not have hi score saving support - check the hiscore.dat file. It's just a text file with the required hi score memory areas. If the game you are using isn't in here, it doesn't have hi score support! From what I can see, all the popular games are supported in some way.
Grab the binary with source.
Feedback would be welcome.
Thanks for the wonderful emulator Ell and NJ![/cut]
