I wonder why a lot of articles say that in summer the infection rate should diminish because high temperature... and no one speaks about mosquitos... in some zones there are so many in summer that you just can't go out without being drained.

Dont Worry, im pretty carefull at Bycicle Riding, i do mostly "Crusing" , i enjoy the Sunlight, and the Music i listen to through my right Ear (dont wear booth Airpods on Bycicle), shure when i crossing some Car Roads, i put my Electric Drive to "Turbo" to leave this Road that fast as i can,
I mean, my Pace is 14 km /Hour, i am not that fast..

And i am Carefull whit other Peaple, i try to keep the 2 - 3 m Distance if this is possible, somethimes i moan when the Pedestrians dont let me pass though whit the 2 m, but mostly its fits.. ^^

I read somewhere that the virus can't be transmitted via a mosquito (article from mosquitoes specialists):

About the summer temperature killing the virus, it's bullshit as it mostly "jumps" from person to person, and less from person to surface to person.
What can be credible is that the more sun, the more ultra-violet, the less the virus survives outside.

I'm not sure if it's plausible as in hot countries they are getting sick to.
I use to think people would get sick more because they are close together indoors more in autumn/winter.

Hot air from summer might remove water particles faster from air, and might reduce warm air (from coughing) to linger around.
But this is not based on any research and I can imagine research would state it's not true.

The most informative covid-19 website ever is from the Taiwanese health agency:

Situation in France is still disastrous.

9000 health care students will be called to the rescue in the south:

Masks from China will only arrive in end of June:

Trashbag factory is making protective gear for hospitals:

In Italy, a hundred of medics are already dead:

There's no fresh news about a vaccine.
Most experts say we may have to wait between one or two years for the pharmaceuticals to get one.
Bio hackers do exist but I don't know this community. I only met some at a fablab/hacklab 8 years ago, they seemed to do amazing stuff for garage lab guys.
For now the only seemingly working stuff is the blood transfusion.

I'd like to report you something I find both sad, crazy and alarming when I tell people Taiwan has only 380 cases and 5 deaths.
I also tell them the first anti-virus measures were taken the December 31.
I know people there, I know these numbers are true.

Many people don't believe it, they say it's a fake news, it's "impossible" to have those low numbers.
I'd be curious to hear what you think about their reaction.

Are we getting close to finding a vaccine?
Like a certain project we all know, we're always closer than we were yesterday, but it's still 2 months (tm) off from now.

Re the Taiwan situation: I'd like to know more about what they did to contain this virus. I suspect that Taiwan being so close geographically to what we call today the republic of China, they were more alarmed at the situation than any of us were over here in the occident, I mean personally I wasn't too sure it wasn't going to go the way of sars until Italy got infected.

Edit: Fixed editing mess :(

I know heaps of people in Taiwan and these low numbers are 100% true.
Taiwan have been preparing for an outbreak, because SARS taught them a lesson. Plus, Taiwan is always being attacked by China and needs to be prepared at all times.

There's a pdf in this article explaining the 124 measures Taiwan took, in a chronological order:

Close or not from China, planes fly from anywhere to anywhere in the world in less than a day.

Last night saw another "clap for our carers" - where everyone stands at their front door, or leans out a window, to clap / cheer for NHS staff, nurses, carers or generally for anyone needing to work hard for the good of the public at large. Pretty much everyone on our street was out, and there is such a nice, positive community feel from it. An also less obvious good thing is that if someone doesn't come out for any reason, it's potentially a good way to check on them, or see if someone is perhaps struggling.

And if the carers get home after a shift, their neighbors ask politely, if they coulnd't refrain from using the door handle. And other less nice niceties.

According to healthcare people, they don't give a shit about applause, once the crisis is over they want the people to fully bring government/president to court, then prison.

I know, but they are terrified about the people who may forget who are the real culprits.
Because they say it's neither the virus or bats, or China. It's the politicians who invited the virus.

McDonald's, KFC and Pizza Hut reopen some drives and deliveries, because people absolutely want to get diabetes to die from coronavirus:
