You know, in February I was really worried about the chinese virus for those very same reasons. I saw the videos and within a couple of days I went out and bought 200 pounds of rice and other rations. When everyone panicked I was comfy and just laughed and laughed at everyone.
But, here is the thing. To extend the previous post, WE NOW KNOW THE OUTER BOUNDS OF THE CHINESE VIRUS.
WE KNOW that intubations are not necessary and that they kill people. We know that the effects are barely sever for anyone. We know that the people that die are old and have co-morbidities and we know that anyone that dies with it usually dies with the chinese virus not from the chinese virus.
Even if we take all your guys scaremongered opinions on the virus are true the reality is NO ONE IS FALLING DOWN AND DYING FROM THE CHINESE VIRUS.
Like really, what the hell was that in china when those videos were comming out? There were like 2 months worth, there were videos of people being welded into their appartments and old ladies begging for food and money off of their balconies because they were welded shut.
And now Wuhan is completely open and in the summer people were allowed to go into pool parks (check it out, tons of youtube videos from this summer)?
You know, if you ever have the chance to be at a high enough level (and enough experience) in management where you have to do a lot of negotiations, there is a thing called TOO ON THE NOSE.
When something is TOO ON THE NOSE what that means is that someone is lying outright or putting english on the cue ball to their advantage.
Here is an example of TOO ON THE NOSE (also, this is an example of THE DOG NOT BARKING):
Here is a video of a TOP OF THE TOP professional in their field telling the story about the tic tac incident. On the surface of it, the way the story details line up, it is a really compelling story, so much so that you kind of start to go holy moly, this could be true.
But, give it a few months, watch the original and related interviews a bunch of times.
After a while, if you have the experience (you are wired to notice it but it helps if you have the training) you start to kind of go, this is way too convenient of a story. He tells the story EXACTLY the same way and the way he builds supporting narratives around the core tictac story is JUST A LITTLE TOO ON THE NOSE. Also, there is THE DOG THAT ISN'T BARKING. Not only has this guy been talking about a classified incident, he has been giving up lots of information about radar and avionics in the planes he was flying. He has provided his rank and tons of information about what his rank and his officers do on a daily basis and so forth. THE DOG NOT BARKING is this: why hasn't the military either offed this guy already or just dissapeared him the moment they got word that he is giving away all of this information?
The A LITTLE TOO ON THE NOSE part is the kind of thing that should be raising a lot of red flags. I loved this guy when I heard of him but now that I have had enough time to listen to him, this story is way too convenient.
Whatever is going on with the tic tac story is not what we think it is. Someone is playing games here and we are the suckers.
This is kind of what is going on with the chinese virus thing. First, those videos of people dying on the street are WAAAAAAAY TOO ON THE NOSE. Then welding people in? Then videos of trucks spraying down cities? For this virus? WHERE DID THOSE TRUCKS COME FROM? Who has giant trucks with those canisters on the back ready to go with de-fumigation gas of some sort? Then add the whole chines virus testing seems to be either too sensitive or improperly applied as per the court ruling. Then add to that, none of our leaders nor our scientists have a clue how to either identify the chinese virus nor what to do about it?
Something is a little too on the nose here. This doesn't smell right. Those videos from china were 100% faked. There is no way they were real.
