Capacitive or Resistive touch for the next gen Pandora?

If I remember correctly.., the EMR-technologie that Wacom invented and uses in their digitizers is no longer protected by their patent. Somewhere in 2011 this patent expired, so maybe there are alternatives on the market. Let's hope so! The Galaxy Note was already in development, so Samsung had to use the Wacom-digitizer. I don't know about the pen sensor design you're mentioning, though.

p.s. The Note has a capacitive layer and a dwacom igitizer. When the pen is detected near the screen by the digitezer, the capacitive touchscreen is disabled to prevent accidental touches from palms or fingers.
