I bought a GP32 from a boot sale for £10. It was just the console in a little bag. Owner thought it was a GBA... Anyway. I have an SMC card (64 MB) and I managed to find a mini USB lead in my drawer. Ok, I'm getting closer to homebrew and stuff.I plug in the lead, go on to the connect menu and.... nothing. I right clicked install on the driver for the GP32 and installed the PC connect program. Now, I opened the GP32 program, switched on the GP32 and went on to PC Connect and clicked OK. Nothing. "USB Error." What have I done wrong? :(

Just buy a card reader. Even if you connect through USB, it's painfully slow to transfer. If you already had an SMC, you must have some other device that uses SMC. Could you transfer the files by that?

Have you installed drivers from here? (I guess you'd get the XP 64 version)

Also, how are you trying to link your GP32 and PC? With the GP Manager software (http://www.gp32x.de/cgi-bin/cfiles.cgi?0,0,0,0,15,852)?

How are you obtaining Freelauncher -- the cracked version? That actually comes with its own install program.

I don't actaully have the Free Launcher :( I connect the USB cable to the GP32, click on GP32 PC Link host or GP32 Manager and click connect. Nothing happens. I just get a USB connection error and my PC doesn't recognise the device.

Then why did you have the cable..?

If you've installed the xp drivers and everything, it's probably the cable. Is there another computer you can try setting it up on to see if the cable doesn't work there either?
