Following the tradition exposing devices to you nosey folks, here are some sexy pictures of the Caanoo exposed.

I seems really nicely built, with a lot of testing points.
The analog controller is actually made out of metal - it seems unbreakable.

Also, for running WIZ games: We always thought there is one button missing... well, in fact, there ISN'T. The stick has a click, too :)
It's a first step in making WIZ stuff compatible to the Caanoo... :)

If you want to compare:
GP2X Inside and WIZ Exposed

Enjoy :)

Perfect! Barely legal Caanoo porn. Thanks ED! :)

So what does this USB do? plug in external stick or what?

off topic, but how do you hook up a mini usb to the Wiz to charge/data?

The Wiz didn't have a stick click, it didn't even have a stick :p

Cool! :) Steal it, make it flat and build it into the Pandoras. We just need 8000 Caanoos for 4000 Pandora Analog nub pairs.

Yeah, there are some good-looking games coming up.
I'm no fan of rhythm or fighting games, but the demo versions I have on the Caanoo are very well presented. Asura Cross has astounding animations, Propis and Rhythmos have nice graphics, too.
Liar: Redemption is also a nice game, and in their videos, they showed a lot more games that do look very appealing.

The games have that classic feeling with them I always got when playing Amiga games.
Last time I had that with a new game was when playing Blue Angelo on my GP32 :)

I won't use the Caanoo for Emulators,Internet surfing or reading comics, that's what I have the Pandora for. But the up-coming games really do interest me :)

In theory, the WIZ games CAN be made compatible, but there's some work involved (a chrooted WIZ environment and simulating the dpad to the stick).

I have no idea whether GPH or a dev will do that, though.
However, it should basically be enough to just recompile the existing WIZ games. No biggie :) Then if the WIZ also switches to EABI, it would even better :)

Battery life should be about the same as with the WIZ, maybe slightly lower as the LCD needs more power and the battery has a bit less juice. Haven't tested that yet.

I will setup a Caanoo section on the archive as well. The Pandora section might probably disappear though an just link to the appstore.

There are things in the Pandora archive that are not in the "appstore."

On topic:

Do the Canoo's rear mounted speaker project sound away from you?

In your video you said the speakers are loud. Is it louder behind or in front of the unit?

In other words do you have to crank up the volume to hear it from the front?

ok lets get this straight can anyone here tell me if there is 2gb of flash memory on board internally and is the cpu clockable to 900mhz or is this just all bullshit

There isn't 2GB of flash on board and I doubt all Caanoos will overclock to 900MHz.

GPH promises an overclock to 800MHz, and I imagine anything above that is complete pot luck.

Can you show me where GPH promises 800MHz? Does this mean if it has any problems at 800MHz it can be sent back?

I've had a look but I can't seem to find it anywhere. I'm sure it was on the Facebook page. Regardless, a promise is far from a guarantee.
