Batteries Don't Work

I've tried various fresh batteries of all brands, and they all return the same problem, the GP2X won't switch on. Not lines though, but as if there are no batteries.

So, two questions:
- Does anybody else have this problem?
- How do I fix it?

Thanks.

I had a problem with mine once, but i'm not sure if it's the same as yours - are the batteries fitted in tightly, or are they loose?

Are you using rechargeable batteries? If not give them a try as they work much better with the GP2X.
I did have the same problem when I first got my GP2x and I think it was down to my rechargeables reaching the end of their life (I had used them for years on my GP32). I bought some new 2700mAh ones and they work perfectly.

No batteries work.

Well I am not sure what else to suggest then. In answer to your questions: Yes I had this problem; I fixed it by buy a fresh set of high storage rechargeables.

Well, has it ever worked? ie is it a new gp2x?
Check the batteries are 'snug' as some batteries just don't seem long enough for some reason.
Otherwise, if it's new and has never worked, check the polarity... if that's okay, send the unit back.
If it used to work and now doesn't.. when did it fail - have you dropped it? Have you placed batteries in at the wrong polarity and then found it's failed??

Happened to me, usually a result of blowing a certain resistor inside the GP2X. Normally caused by inserting a PSU with the wrong polarity.

Fix: Send it back.

Well, it worked until I sent it to ED to unbrick, since then it hasn't worked.
